Google talk

I have used live chat before in WebCT- I suppose this is just another Google version

VC Podcast

I have watched the VC's podcast. I think it gives a more human touch to a speech than just an email or a post

YouTube University of Florida

Interesting to see how Uni Libraries are utilising YouTube
http://au.youtube.com/user/UFlibraries

PetWiki

I managed to post a photo on the VU Library pet wiki. It is good to see what types of animals people choose for pets- I think really it is the pet who chooses the person

Library 2.0

Library 2.0 is a way of allowing our students to provide tags and sharing their experiences with other students/staff- sort of like the post it notes or highlighters of an earlier gen.
(I was always good- I used to underline in pencil and then erase it- I guess that's why I ended up a Library Nerd!)

Delicious

How come I think of food when I write this?
Seriously, using Delicious allowed me to find easily some interesting social sites on Gymnastics.
I can see this would be useful to allow easy interaction

igoogle

Creating an igoogle page allowed me to group my favourite sites, interests and google maps

Google Books/Google Scholar

Useful tools to find books and scholarly articles and screening out of lots of Google guff!

Google Docs 13

In this techno world the lack of function capability in Google Docs makes it somewhat limited in application. Howeve not having to purchase Microsoft Office must be very tempting for the home user

Google Maps

The map of my house is a little old- there is no roof on the garage which was completed in February.
It's a bit scary that satellites can look at your home and you don't even know!

Facebook

I reactivated my Facebook account, decided I didn't want to continue and deactivated myself!

Subscribe to Blogs

I have managed to suscribe to RSS feed for Innovative Libraries.
As is always the case I was intending only to capture AIUG libraries , but I was too inexact with my Technorati search

Library Thing (8)

Playing with LibraryThing was like a version of cataloguing

RSS Feed - Library thing 9

I have set up an RSS feed to the Age newspaper. Now I can get the latest news
